Trash Bingo was so much fun! Thank you so much to everyone who decided to spend their precious time with us and cleaning our shoreline, keeping the animals safe and beautifying the community.
We collected 215.56 POUNDS of trash, bingo cards were filled!
Some notable "Found Something Weird" items were a fake nail with a Band-Aid on it, a blowfish, a walking cane, an old flipper, toothbrush, a flannel (in the summertime), a fake spider, a storage tote lid that said "I Don't"...? and just so many funny random items.
Were able to piece together a whole scuba set and wardrobe. It's just amazing how much trash you can find in such little time.
BIG THANKS to Bluetherapy for helping with coordination all day, Goin' Coastal Golf Cart Rental & Bike Shop for donating their reliable, fun golf carts and for spending their day with us. Sea Gypsyirb for donating their hand made IRB sand bracelets, Bluetherapy for donating a super cool gift bag of goodies, Watersports West for donating paddle board rentals, Hubbard's Marina for donating a dolphin cruise, Dogfish Tackle & Marine for donating a gift card. We hope all the raffle winners were stoked.
And the amazing staff at Anecdote Brewing Co., literally the best brew. Even if you don't drink...you will love it.

It's a day to reflect on the crucial role the ocean plays in sustaining life on Earth, providing us with oxygen, regulating the climate, and supporting a vast array of marine biodiversity. Results are in from the St. Paddy's Day Beach Clean Up on Indian Rocks Beach, Florida. Thanks so much to the 23 kind folks who stopped by and grabbed a bucket and for Kirsten and Philip at Anecdote Brewing Co. for being the most amazing hosts.
We collected 87lbs of trash that could have ended up in our waterways. Interesting finds were a pair of men's panties, shorts, mittens, neck pillow, 3 clothing security tags, a moldy hard piece of bread, a tiny penguin (far away from home), grandmas cookies and MANY blue straws and cups from a local restaurant.
Check out our events and we hope to see you May 4th at Slyce Pizza. If you would like to donate $1 towards the next beach clean-up, please venmo or paypal @irbtrashtribe and thanks so much for all your support and if you see a piece of trash on the beach or in the street, please pick it up for the sake of mother nature and she will reward you in many ways.
Who's going to the "Rotary Runs the Beach" race?! Click below to register on their website and we hope to see you there! We will be on the sand cheering you on. Stop by and see us before you get competitive!
Come grab your bucket, trash grabber and Valentine goody bag.
Trashy treasures on the shore,
But together, we'll find more.
With gloves on hands and hearts aligned,
A cleaner beach, we'll surely find!
We are so grateful for the 30 souls that came out today to give thanks to Mother Nature and to help keep the marine animals safe.
Huge thanks to our sponsors Arnold Jewelers and Orangetheory Fitness Largo Surfing's Evolution & Preservation Foundation and Goin' Coastal Golf Cart Rental & Bike Shop for staying busy and shuttling the amazing volunteers all around the Belleair causeway.
We collected 189.71 lbs of trash. Just look at this trash pile, so exciting! Thank you so much for the loyal folks that have been to every event so far.
We hope to see you all again for the St. Pattys Day event being announced soon.
Co-Hosted with GreenTown Kids and the community for their annual New Year Beach Cleanup!
Meet at the 17th Ave. Beach Access and county parking lot in Indian Rocks Beach to sign in, get a parking pass, and cleanup supplies. Help pick-up trash on the beach and keep our beach and ocean clean.
The flurries were out yesterday but that didn’t stop 60 people from coming out to clean the coastline, even passerby’s grabbed a bucket and hit the sand. We had many visitors stop by to talk about trash. So many great people out there. The best moment was when a mother and her three young daughters were leaving the beach and stopped at our tent and the little girls said they were leaving the beach to go get ice cream but wanted to help clean the beach first instead good job mom!! Thanks to everyone that chose to donate their time on their day off and to Green Town Kids for collaborating.
